Holbrook Sportsmen's Club Scholarship Winners
Holbrook Junior/Senior High School students Jared Assmus and Amy Breen , have each been awarded a $500.00 scholarship for higher education from the Holbrook Sportsmen's Club. In addition, the Club awarded three scholarships in the club in the amount of $500.00 to Danielle Lynch of Holbrook, Paraskevi V. Hamos of Medfield and Katherine Hart of Milton. All are Subject to completion of scholarship requirements.
The Holbrook Sportsmen's Club, incorporated in 1940, has a long-standing tradition of community involvement. In 1999, the club increased the number of annual scholarships that it awards from two to four, and in 2002 increased the number of scholarships from four to six, reflecting its strong commitment and encouragement to the youth of the community in pursuing their higher education opportunities.
The Club also sponsors youth programs. Individuals interested in joining the Holbrook Sportsmen's Club can do so at the club's regular meetings held at 730 on the first and third Monday of each month at 150 Quincy street, off route 37.
