Petition Now On-Line!
GOAL is pleased to announce that the Firearms Licensing
Review Board has now created an application process for citizens to have their
firearms rights restored. The Firearms Licensing Review Board was created by
Chapter 150 of the Acts of 2004, a GOAL reform bill.
Persons who have been denied the issuance of a License to
Carry a Firearm or a Firearm Identification Card due to certain past
misdemeanor convictions may petition the Board to review their case. If the
Board votes to restore their rights, then the individual will still need to go
through the application process in the town in which they live or have a place
of business.

The Firearm Licensing Review Board is just one of
several reforms to the Massachusetts gun laws that GOAL has been able to
accomplish . Please join GOAL and support us in our quest to make the
laws just and fair.

If you are interested in assisting the GOAL staff with
a phone bank on Monday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 2, please

We will host the phone bank at our headquarters
in Northboro.
Shifts are available at 9:00-11:30 AM, 12:30-3:00 PM,
3:30-6:00 PM and 5:30-7:00 PM on Monday, November 1. On Tuesday, we will
have shifts at 9:00-11:30 AM and 12:30-3:00 PM. We could use 2-3 people
for each shift.
